Next to the also very old 'Kirchenwirt' inn, there is the Samerstall, in which the horses were looked after and changed during the times of the Samerzug (from Italy to the Alps to Bavaria).

The church was originally dedicated to St. Aegydius consecrated. This patron suggests very old age. In 1323 it was named as a branch church of Saalfelden.

It was a Romanesque church. In 1513 it was consecrated again by Bishop Berthold Pürstinger, as it was expanded through renovations. At that time, St. Aegydius also St. Leonhard added as patron. In 1740 a new building was inevitable because the church was small, crooked and dilapidated. The vault was so cracked that it had to be knocked down. But it took six years to complete the building. The tower on the south side still represents old substance.

The Leonhardikapelle is about below the church hill directly on the new thoroughfare. It is probably directly related to the Church, which is also dedicated to St. Leonhard is consecrated.

Archbishop Siegmund Schrattenbach had this chapel, which St. Anna was consecrated to build huts in the old Schmelzwerkdörfl after he had bought the mine. A thorough renovation took place in 1954.

The simple two-storey building dates from the end of the 19th century and is one of the last remaining buildings on the former Giselabahn .
