Catholic parish church hl. Leonhard ObjectID : 60552 |

The church was originally dedicated to St. Aegydius consecrated. This patron suggests very old age. In 1323 it was named as a branch church of Saalfelden. It was a Romanesque church. In 1513 it was consecrated again by Bishop Berthold Pürstinger, as it was expanded through renovations. At that time, St. Aegydius also St. Leonhard added as patron. In 1740 a new building was inevitable because the church was small, crooked and dilapidated. The vault was so cracked that it had to be knocked down. But it took six years to complete the building. The tower on the south side still represents old substance. |
