architecture

Church exterior

An only slightly drawn-in round apse adjoins the outer long house under a shingle gable roof with arched windows. A two-storey sacristy is built in the north, opposite to the south is the Gothic six-storey tower with double-pointed arched sound windows with a pointed gable roof covered with shingle. The church has a surrounding base, which is only painted on the sacristy annex. An iron chain from the second half of the 18th century hangs around the nave and the tower as decoration, the chain ring and lock are on the clapboard-clad western front with the year 1801. Between the tower and the nave there is a chapel with a Lourdes grotto from the 20th century .

Church interior

The four-bay nave is followed by a one-bay choir - raised by three steps - with a semicircular end. The barrel vaults with stitch caps rest on pillars with plinths and capitals. The baroque stucco was created by Kassian Singer , the ceiling frescoes by Christoph Anton Mayr (1755), scenes from the life of St. Leonhard, in the choir scenes from the Old Testament with Eucharistic themes, in the middle picture St. Aegyd and Leonhard as intercessors with chronogram 1745. A cartouche on the choir arch shows the dates 1323, 1745, 1956, 1973. The west gallery has two floors.

Furnishing

The high altar was built by the carpenter Veit Häusl (1754) and shows the miraculous image of Maria vom Guten Rat, which was transferred from the left side altar to the high altar in 1764. The original high altar picture with the seven refuges is now in the Salzburg Cathedral Museum .

The organ was built by Albert Mauracher (1886). Josef Erhart names a bell in 1486.
