Christoph Anton Mayr
Christoph Anton Mayr (* around 1720 in Schwaz ; † December 11, 1771 in Schwaz) was a Tyrolean rococo church painter .
Life
Mayr created frescoes for more than twenty churches in the Tiroler Unterland , in South Tyrol and in the Prince Archbishopric of Salzburg . His most important role model was Matthäus Günther . Characteristic for his art are light colors, stage-like scenes and skyward architectural backdrops.
