history

The church was mentioned in a document in 1369 and the church was consecrated around 1420. At the beginning of the 16th century, a renovation took place. The vicarage was mentioned in 1556. The baroque building of today's church was first mentioned in a document in 1702. In 1891 the church was elevated to a parish church.

architecture

The baroque hall church with shingle roofs is Gothic in essence and has a Gothic tower. The simple building has corner plaster pilaster strips and a circumferential, beveled base. The tower on the north side of the nave has an ogival twin window and a high, twisted gable spire over a cornice. The sacristy is built on the south side. In the western front there is a triangular gable above a main cornice with a basket arch portal, next to it a late Gothic service made of red marble from the first half of the 16th century.

The five-bay nave has a shallow barrel with stab caps on consoles with acanthus stucco. The west gallery is two-story with parapets with paintings from the second half of the 18th century. The flat triumphal arch is drawn in. The slightly retracted, single-bay choir has a shallow barrel with stitch caps and delicate stucco on pilasters with ionizing capitals and pieces of entablature. He has a five-eighth key .

The baroque vault paintings by Christoph Anton Mayr (1754) were uncovered during the renovation in 1959 and Wolfram Köberl - in the choir - completely supplemented. The stained glass is from 1924.

Furnishing

The baroque high altar was documented in 1722 and is marked 1727.

The organ with a rococo prospect was built by Johann Anton Fuchs in 1771 and expanded in 1954 with K. Reinisch's heirs . Heinrich Reinhart cast a bell in 1601.
