Monastery choir
Stiftschor is the name for the choir of a historical collegiate church . This component, mostly facing east, had the same function as the choirs of all churches that served the liturgy of a monastery , collegiate monastery or cathedral chapter . It contained the main altar and the choir stalls for the Convention and was the nave of the laity through the rood screen separated.
