The foundation ABOUT LIFE - Organ donation initiative was founded in 2018 and operates nationwide. It emerged from the Foundation for Life of the German Foundation for Organ Transplantation (DSO), which was established in 2008 . The DSO has given the foundation the task of raising awareness and information about organ donation through information campaigns, campaigns and events and to make the topic accessible to a broader public. The foundation is the point of contact for private individuals as well as for institutions.

For the first time, the Foundation has also provided the organ donation card with Braille .

Card dispenser for organ donation cards

The Über Leben Foundation has developed a card dispenser for organ donation cards for the most straightforward and direct access to organ donation cards. These can be found in public areas such as government offices, health insurance branches, companies, banks, universities or even in retail. The blank ID cards can be easily removed there.
