People for Animals Foundation
The People for Animals Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Berlin. It was founded in 2003 by the association Aktion Tier - Menschen für Tiere eV The purpose of the foundation is to promote animal and nature conservation. The People for Animals Foundation is a member of the Federal Association of German Foundations .
structure
The presidium consists of five people. Together with President Ulrich Laudick and Vice-President Gerald Freund, Gabriele Inaara Begum Aga Khan is also one of the Presidium members of the People for Animals Foundation. According to the Articles of Association, the Foundation's Presidium is supported by a five-member advisory board, which has both advisory and control functions. The basic assets of the People for Animals Foundation are 2.5 million euros. If the Aktion tier - Menschen für Tiere eV association is dissolved, its assets will go to the Menschen für Tiere Foundation.
activities
In cooperation with aktion tier, the foundation Menschen für Tiere started the campaign "12 districts - 12 animal protection rooms" in August 2012, the aim of which is to set up an animal and nature protection room at one all-day school in each Berlin district. The patron of this campaign is Gabriele Inaara Begum Aga Khan , who opened the first Berlin animal and nature conservation room in the Pankow district on November 26, 2012.
