Regulatory Policy Foundation
The Ordnungspolitik Foundation is a non-profit organization that deals with the regulatory tradition of the Freiburg School . The self-imposed goal is the maintenance and scientific further development of order economics , based on the ideas of Walter Eucken and Friedrich August von Hayek .
The foundation works out policy options and advocates a public policy discussion. For this purpose, she organizes lectures and discussions with personalities from politics, science and business such as Angela Merkel , Axel A. Weber , Jens Weidmann , Sabine Lautenschläger , Wolfgang Schäuble , Günther Oettinger , Cem Özdemir or Barbara Hendricks .
The foundation was established in December 1999 by the citizens of Freiburg on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Walter Eucken .
The Center for European Politics (cep) is located under the umbrella of the Regulatory Policy Foundation . This think tank performs the tasks of the Ordnungspolitik Foundation on the level of European politics: it examines EU policy projects from a regulatory perspective in order to advise and inform politics, the media and the public.
Lüder Gerken is the chairman of the board of the Ordnungspolitik Foundation and the Center for European Politics . In the board of trustees, a. Leszek Balcerowicz , Frits Bolkestein , Udo Di Fabio , Roman Herzog , Jürgen Stark , Holger Steltzner and Hans Tietmeyer .
