Foundation family BSW & EWH
The foundation family BSW & EWH bundles the services of the foundations Bahn-Sozialwerk (BSW) and Eisenbahn-Waisenhort (EWH). The benefits are aimed at employees in the railway sector and their families - even beyond their active working life. It has a tradition of more than 100 years as a solidary community. Over a quarter of a million people support the BSW & EWH family of foundations as sponsors and / or donors.

- Charitable foundation EWH, founded in 1902 as a "railway daughter nursery"

- BSW Foundation since 1904 as "Association of German Railway Associations", later renamed "Bahn-Sozialwerk"
- Corporate social welfare facility of Deutsche Bahn and the federal railway assets
- 1994: Merger of the Bundesbahn-Sozialwerk and the Sozialwerk of the Deutsche Reichsbahn
- 1997: Establishment of the BSW Foundation and the charitable EWH Foundation
- Since July 2018: New umbrella brand foundation family BSW & EWH

The BSW and EWH foundations remain legally separate from each other.
Bimonthly is magazine Family Foundation published that addresses with internals, the regional and the services for social, leisure, health, care and travel packages as well as the rail domestic fuel supply to members and readers.
