Stilbruch is a classic - pop band from Leipzig . The band itself describes their genre as "New Classic".

history

The original history of the band begins in 2001 as a school band in Leipzig , which broke up in 2004. Then in 2005 Sebastian Maul re-founded the band in Dresden with Friedemann Hasse (violin) and Florian Manuel Fügemann (drums), two fellow students from the Dresden University of Music "Carl Maria von Weber". In 2009 the band took part in the Pro7 television program Germanys Next Showstars and reached the finals there. In 2012 Gunnar Nilsson from Dresden became the band's drummer and in August 2015 Eli Fabrikant replaced violinist Hasse.

In 2013, Stilbruch was recognized as the best young artist at the gala event "20 Years of the Ticket Center".

The greatest musical success to date is the album Take me with you , which climbed into the top 100 of the German album charts for a week in September 2016.

In May 2017 the band announced the farewell to the violinist manufacturer. Before that, the band played with various violinists to find a successor. Since then, the new violinist has been Philippe Amadé Polyak.

Only a year later, the band also announced the departure of drummer Nilsson. Nilsson was replaced by Stan Neufeld, whose departure from the band was announced in March 2019. Konstantin Chiddi was introduced as the successor in April 2019.
