The Stillwell Lake is a 3 km long and 2 km wide lake in the East Antarctic Kemp Land . It is located around 3 km northeast of Kemp Peak and is the largest lake in the Stillwell Hills . At its eastern end it flows over a short river into Stefansson Bay .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1992 based on the designation of the Stillwell Hills. It is named after the Australian geologist Frank Leslie Stillwell (1888–1963), participant in the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911–1914) of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson .
