Stockdorp

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stockdorp was a place in the Frisian rural community Reiderland or Rheiderland in East Frisia, which went down in the Dollart . Today the part of the Dollart belongs to the Kingdom of the Netherlands .

history

Stockdorp is said to have been under a southern bend in the river Ehe . It was mentioned in the "Werdener Arbaren" around the year 1000 as Stagasthorp . Around 1450 it was listed as a vacant parish , which probably means that very early on it belonged to the threatened and probably very damaged church villages from which no more income could be collected. It is believed that it existed until 1509. Then it sank into the floods of the dollar.
