Stockholm Network
The Stockholm Network is an international network of predominantly European, business-liberal- oriented think tanks . The network was founded in 1997 and is based in London . 131 think tanks from almost 40 countries are currently participating across Europe. Registration as a member is free of charge. The institute's work is financed through publications , events and donations, primarily from companies and non-profit organizations .
aims
The aim of the network is to promote a neoliberal social order and market economy-oriented approaches in research, politics and society. To this end, the organization is designed as a platform for exchange, coordination and public relations. The goals mentioned include:
- The clarification of the advantages of the free market economy and globalization ,
- promoting market economy reforms of the European welfare state model
- making the labor markets more flexible and
- greater individual responsibility in pension and health systems.
