history

The company was founded in Riedlingen in 1873 by Heinrich Stoll and Christian Schmidt . In 1893, the world's first "left / left flat knitting machine" was invented, which was also presented at the world exhibition in Chicago . The company holds a large number of patents. Reutlinger Stoll-Strasse, where the company's headquarters are located, was named after co-founder Heinrich Stoll.
