Stooshe (also spelled StooShe ) is a three-piece English soul pop band.

Band history

After several months of auditioning, music manager Jo Perry put together the band Stooshe in early 2011. It consists of the three singers Karis Anderson, Alexandra Buggs and Courtney Rumbold, who were between 18 and 21 years old when it was founded. They were signed by Warner Music and released their first songs that same year with Fuck Me and Betty Woz Gone and their version of Ini Kamoze's Here Comes the Hotstepper . With their R&B pop and lyrics full of sexual innuendo, they quickly got attention. In the BBC forecast Sound of ... the breakthrough for 2012 was predicted.

For their first real single release, they recorded an adjusted version of Fuck Me under the title Love Me . They also brought in Travie McCoy from the Gym Class Heroes . The song was released in March 2012 and immediately became a top 5 hit. The release of their debut album London with the Lights On , which was initially to be called Swings and Roundabouts , has been postponed several times; it should be released in spring and June 2012. On June 18, however, the second single Black Heart was released . The debut album was finally released in May 2013.
