Store Altsula
Stora Altsula is an uninhabited island in Norway and belongs to the municipality of Nordkapp in the Norwegian province of Troms og Finnmark .
It is located immediately south of the island of Magerøya in the Porsangerfjord , east of the Sarnesfjord . North-east of the island is the entrance to the port of the city of Honningsvåg . A little further northwest is the small island of Lille Altsula . Store Altsula extends from north-west to south-east for about 1.7 kilometers with a width of up to about 850 meters. A ridge stretches across the island, reaching a height of up to 176 meters in the south-eastern part. The barren, rocky island is only sparsely overgrown.
