history

In 1874 Johannes Reichenecker founded a tannery in Backnang . In 1956, Hans Reichenecker took over the leather factory from his father. Three years later, Storopack Hans Reichenecker GmbH & Co was founded in Affaltrach near Heilbronn. First of all, molded packaging parts were made from expanded polystyrene (EPS). Storopack has also been active as a corporate group in the USA since 1978 . The leather activities were stopped in 1980. In 2002, Hans Reichenecker handed over operational management to his son Hermann Reichenecker and became Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Business activity

Storopack is a manufacturer of protective packaging. The product range includes protective packaging and its integration into the customer's packaging processes. The services of the globally active group of companies based in Metzingen (Germany) are provided by the two business areas Molding and Packaging. In the Molding division, protective packaging and technical molded parts are made from expanded foams (EPS, EPP and Neopor) at 11 production sites in Europe and Asia. The Packaging division with locations in Europe, America and Asia offers protective packaging for padding cardboard boxes, such as paper cushions, air cushions, foam pillows and packaging chips.
