The Road of the Roman Emperors is a Serbian holiday route that connects all the main archaeological sites of late antiquity in Serbia between Sirmia , the Danube and southern Serbia. The holiday route leads to the late antique Roman cities of Sirmium , Singidunum , Viminatium , Naissus , the Roman military camp on the Danube Limes Diana , the imperial residences Felix Romuliana or the Galerius Palace and Mediana as well as the Justinian bishopric and administrative center Iustiniana Prima and the Tabula Traiana in the Iron Gate . The name of the holiday route is based on the fact that 17 Roman emperors were born in the area of ​​today's Serbia and some also resided here, while one emperor died on the territory of the country. Visiting these archaeological sites is a highlight for those interested in culture and history that tourism in Serbia has to offer.

The route of the Roman Emperors' Road is essentially based on the route of the Via militaris and its branches.
