The Strait of Usu ( Indonesian Selat Usu ) is a strait in the Timor archipelago of the Lesser Sunda Islands . It separates the islands of Roti in the west and Usu in the east. At the same time, the waterway connects Maeoe Bay in the north with the Timor Sea in the south. Several small islands lie in the narrow waterway.
