Kenneth Joseph Povish

Kenneth Joseph Povish (born April 19, 1924 in Alpena , † September 5, 2003 in Lansing ) was Bishop of Lansing .

Life

Kenneth Joseph Povish was ordained a priest on June 3, 1950 .

Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Crookston on July 28, 1970 . The Apostolic Delegate to the United States of America , Luigi Raimondi , consecrated him bishop on September 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francis Frederick Reh , Bishop of Saginaw , and James Aloysius Hickey , Rector of the Pontifical North America College .

The Pope appointed him Bishop of Lansing on October 8, 1975 and he was instituted on December 11 of the same year. On November 7, 1995, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
