Criminal law (Lithuania)
The Lithuanian Criminal Law is the national criminal law of the Republic of Lithuania , part of Lithuanian law . The codified law and the main legal source of Lithuanian criminal law is the Criminal Code of September 26, 2000. Before that, the Criminal Code of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Lithuania from 1961 applied. The offenses under Lithuanian criminal law are crimes ( nusikaltimas ) and criminal offenses ( baudžiamasis nusižengimas ).
