Straight

The straight mute , also called a pointed mute, is a mute for various brass instruments . It produces a very sharp and pointed sound. There are different designs, e.g. B. wood , plastic , cardboard or all kinds of metals .

If only the word "damper", "mute", "sordino" or "sourdine" is used in a score or individual part without any additions, this is the rule of thumb that always means exactly this damper.
