The Eichwald lido was an open-air swimming pool with a natural beach in Lindau (Lake Constance) .

The open-air swimming pool on Lake Constance was operated by the Lindau municipal utilities and was located in the Reutin district , at the southeast end of the city, near the railway line to and from Bregenz . It had a 25,000 m² sunbathing lawn with shady old trees. The natural beach is 660 meters long, on which there is a bathing jetty with a station for the water rescue service of the German Red Cross . There was also a windsurfing school, several table tennis tables, a children's playground with play equipment, two beach volleyball fields and a playing field with a football pitch on the site. There was also a kiosk and restaurants with regional cuisine.
winter
The Eichwald lido was closed in winter. But there is an ice rink in the adjacent Lindau ice rink. This was opened in October 1976 and provided with a roof in 2010. It is usually in operation from September or October to March.
This is also the training facility for the Lindau ice hockey club ("Islanders").
Demolition and construction of a new thermal bath
At the end of 2017, the demolition of the lido began. A new thermal bath is to be built on the site by 2020.
