The Stranger Point is a headland at the southernmost tip of King George Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the headland in 1960 after the brig Stranger under Captain Joseph Adams from Boston , which operated together with the O'Caine under Captain Jonathan Winship to hunt seals in the waters around the South Shetland Islands between 1820 and 1821 .
