Strathclyde is a whiskey distillery in Glasgow , Scotland .
history
The distillery was founded in 1927 by the Scottish Grain Distillery Co. in Glasgow and produces grain whiskey . The Kinclaith distillery , which produced malt whiskey , was also founded on the premises in 1957 . However, it was closed in 1975 after being sold to Whitebread & Co to make room for Strathclyde's expansion. The distillery is now part of the Pernod Ricard Group.

Just like Port Dundas , Strathclyde takes the water it needs to make whiskey from Loch Katrine . It is using seven Coffey stills grain whiskey burned . The maximum production capacity is 390,000 hl per year.
Bottlings
The whiskey produced in Strathclyde is used to make blends . So far the distillery has not issued an original bottling. However, there are bottlings by independent bottlers.
