Mulch sowing

Mulch sowing with tillage is very common in spring crops. For tillage or seedbed preparation , power harrows and seedbed combinations are used that only work the top layer of soil (minimum tillage / minimum tillage).
If only a narrow strip of soil is worked around the coulter, one speaks of strip seed , strip milling seed or strip till .
A shallow working process is usually sufficient to create a suitable seedbed. On cold soils, such a seedbed preparation can sustainably promote the warming of the soil and thus also the field emergence and youth development of, for example, maize and sugar beet and enable single-grain sowing .
