Strobe Edge ( Jap . ストロボ·エッジ , Sutorobo Ejji ) is a manga series of the signatory Io Sakisaka from the years 2007 to 2010. The series can be divided into the genres of romance and Shōjo lane. It was commercially successful in Japan and has been translated into four languages.

The student Ninako Kinoshita ( 木 下 仁 菜子 ) has never been in love, but when she meets Ren Ichinose ( 一 ノ 瀬 連 ) she falls for him like many other girls of the year. But Ren is not only popular, he also hardly lets any girl get close to her. But Ninako can befriend him, but learns that he is already taken. Still, she doesn't give up on him. Her long-time friend Daiki Korenaga ( 是 永 大樹 ), who in turn fell in love with Ninako and with whom her friends want to couple her, recognizes Ren as a rival. And this one too develops feelings for Ninako, although he initially doesn't want that to be true.

Publications

The manga was published in Japan from 2007 to 2010 in the manga magazine Bessatsu Margaret published by Shueisha . The chapters were also published together in ten volumes. The anthologies each sold over 200,000 times. 350,000 copies of the last volume were sold in 2011, making it the 43rd best-selling manga volume in the first half of the year. An English version was published by Viz Media , a French version by Kana and a Chinese version by Tong Li . Tokyopop has published nine volumes in German since February 2013 .

A CD with the manga read aloud was released by Shueisha, followed by two radio play CDs in August and September 2010.
