Andreas Oetting

Andreas Oetting (born November 22, 1969 in Aachen ) is a German civil engineer and university professor at the TU Darmstadt.

Life

After studying civil engineering / transportation and spatial planning at RWTH Aachen University , EPFL Lausanne and Berkeley from 1990 to 1995, he became a research assistant in Aachen. He then moved to DB Netz AG in 2001 as Head of Basic Strategic Issues . In 2007 he became head of the organizational unit technology / process strategy, principles .

2002 closed Oetting his doctorate on the subject of supply-dependent modeling of the travel purpose-specific traffic generation and its application to urban leisure traffic at Wulf Schwanhäußer from.

In 2008 he was appointed to the Chair of Railway Systems and Railway Technology at the TU Darmstadt, which was established in 2007 by a foundation agreed between the TU Darmstadt and Deutsche Bahn .
