Formliners are resilient, textured form liners that for the structuring of exposed concrete surfaces ( structural concrete are used). With the help of elastic formwork inserts, individual designs, natural structures, individual drafts, lettering and even photos can be brought into the concrete facade. There are no limits to architectural design freedom. Due to the high elasticity and flexibility, matrices can be used several times depending on the design. Textured formliners are durable and save costs.

material

The dies are made of rubber-like polyurethane elastomers. The elasticity makes the textured formliner resistant and flexible. This ensures that the concrete is removed from the mold without damage and that the texture profile is reproduced accurately and with sharp edges. Textured formliners are also very economical; they can be used up to a hundred times.

commitment

Textured formliners are used both in precast concrete plants and in in-situ concrete. You always need full-area large-area formwork. The type, composition and quality of the concrete do not limit the use of the concrete formliners. It does not matter whether it is normal concrete, heavy concrete, lightweight concrete, white concrete or colored concrete. Even self-compacting concrete and glass fiber concrete or concrete reinforced with steel fibers do not impair the possibilities of using the formliners.

Use in precast concrete production:

The textured formliner is either placed loosely on the horizontal production tables or glued over the entire surface. Then the formwork is poured with concrete. In order to compact the concrete and avoid air pockets, the liquid concrete is shaken out. After the concrete has hardened, the facade panel can be stripped without any problems. The textured formliner is ready for use again.

Use in in-situ concrete:

In in-situ concrete, the formliners must always be glued over the entire surface. Die glue is used for gluing. In exceptional cases, textured formliners can be nailed to the formwork.

Manufacturing

The model is created from standard or individual structures. The design is modeled or taken as an imprint of an existing structure. This creates a positive model. This is sealed with a special release agent / release wax so that the matrix can be removed from the model later. After the release agent has dried, liquid elastomer is poured into the model. When the plastic has hardened, the textured formliner can be removed easily and without problems. Due to the high elasticity of the die, the structure is reproduced true to detail. In addition, the concrete matrix is so robust that it can be used several times.
