Stuart Welch (born November 15, 1977 in Sydney ) is a former Australian rower and two-time Olympic medalist.

Welch has rowed in international regattas and in the World Cup since 1995, but remained without a final place in international championships in the adult division until 2000. At the 2000 Olympic Games in his hometown of Sydney, Welch was among the Australian eighth , who had previously finished second behind the British boat at the World Cups in Vienna and Lucerne. Even in front of their home crowd, the British reached the finish just ahead of the Australians. The 1.94 m tall Welch was not part of the Australian team for the next two years. At the 2003 World Rowing Championships he was a member of the four without a helmsman , which finished fourth. At the 2004 Olympic Games , only Mike McKay and Stuart Welch from the silver eighth in 2000 sat again in the Australian eighth, which this time won the bronze medal behind the US boat and the Dutch.
