The Studi Veneziani are a biannual historical journal published in Pisa by the Istituti editoriali e poligrafici internazionali (Fabrizio Serra editore). The editors have been two institutions since 1959, on the one hand the Istituto di Storia della Società e dello Stato Veneziano , on the other hand the Istituto "Venezia e l'Oriente" at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini . This cultural foundation is based on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore . Gino Benzoni is the head of the magazine . In the first few years the magazine was published under the title Bollettino dell'Istituto di Storia della Società e dello Stato Veneziano .

The first series of Studi Veneziani appeared between 1959 and 1976 (Vol. I to V / VI) and was published by the Centro di Cultura e Civiltà, Scuola di San Giorgio per lo studio della civiltà Veneziana , the second since 1977.

Her focus is on the history of the Veneto and the Republic of Venice , with a focus on the Eastern Mediterranean and in particular on relations with Byzantium .
