The band emerged from former members of the band Birdy Num Nums , namely Kai Berner (vocals / guitar) and Peter Günnen (drums). In addition, Joachim Uerschels (bass) joined the group, over the years the line-up changed regularly, except for Kai Berner.

WOM wrote of the 1999 debut album, which bore the band's name: "Completely unexpectedly, a grandiose debut album bursts into the German music scene." The successor "II" followed in 2003, which was released on record and CD. Plattentests.de awarded 7 out of 10 possible points and called the record "musically considered balm for the soul", but criticized that the lyrics would "often hurt". Together with the first album by Wir sind Helden , the nationwide edition of Prinz magazine named the record "Album of the Month". The Plattentests.de portal often mentions the band as a reference for various German-speaking music groups and musicians. "Let's do it anyway" (2010) is the band's last release so far.
