The Birdy Num Nums were a rock band from Krefeld that produced melodic indie rock . They existed from 1987 to 1993.
The first EP What Fish in 1988 received little attention. The band then organized a stay of several weeks in America. After their return they were able to appear in the support act of the Lemonheads and thus achieved national fame. The single Every Little World became Spex's single of the month in 1989 . After changing the record label , the success subsided and the band broke up in 1993.
Kai Berner later became a singer and guitarist at Studio Grande . Tomislav Tomas and Stefan Wellmann founded the band Svetlana in 2005 .
