Studio Job is a Dutch-Belgian design studio run by Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel.

Job Smeets (* 1970 in Belgium) studied three-dimensional design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven from 1990 to 1995 . In 1998 he founded the Job studio in Antwerp , which was joined by Nynke Tynagel (* 1977) from the Netherlands in 2000 (after completing her graphic design studies in Eindhoven) . Both had known each other from Eindhoven in 1996. Smeets and Tynagel also live together.

They became known for their sometimes monumental designs of furniture and interior furnishings as individual pieces or in very limited numbers. They use a wide variety of models from cartoons to historical and heraldic motifs, farmhouse furniture (as in their Bavaria series ) and also simply everyday objects such as kitchen and farm utensils cast in bronze (as in their Farm series ). Her work has often been described as neo-baroque and mannerist and sometimes uses ironic alienations. Studio Job has received numerous awards.

The work of Studio Job, for example, is prominently represented in the Groninger Museum . B. presented in the Museum of Modern Art and Victoria & Albert Museum . They also worked with companies like D. Swarovski in Austria and Moooi in the Netherlands.
