Stuttgart threshold

The Stuttgart threshold is a plastic barrier line made of precast concrete or similar material. It is used to separate a track or a bus lane , which private traffic is not allowed to drive on in the longitudinal direction and which may only be crossed at the designated points.

Origin of name

It was designed by the Stuttgart Civil Engineering Office in 1963 and is now used in numerous cities.
