SuS Lütgendortmund (officially: Spiel und Sport Lütgendortmund 06 eV ) was a sports club from the Dortmund district of Lütgendortmund . The first soccer team played a year in the highest Westphalian amateur league.

history

The association was founded in 1906. In the 1920s and 1930s SuS played in the second highest division, where, among other things, they played league games against Borussia Dortmund . After the end of the Second World War , the Lütgendortmunder first played in the district class and were runner-up there in 1947 behind the Hörder SC . Six years later he was promoted to the state league , the highest amateur league in Westphalia at the time.

As bottom of the table , SuS promptly had to relegate again. In 1957 the team returned to the district class. It was not until 1960 that it was promoted again, followed by another descent into the district class in 1962. In 1963 it went back up to the district class. Ten years later, SuS merged with Germania Lütgendortmund and FC West Dortmund to form SG Lütgendortmund .
