The Hörder SC (officially: Hörder Sport-Club 1910 eV ) is a football club from the Hörde district of Dortmund . The first soccer team played in the highest Westphalian amateur league for two years.

history

The club was founded on January 1, 1910 as the Hörder football club . The club got its current name in 1918 when an athletics department was added. In terms of sport, the footballers played in the second highest division in the 1920s and early 1930s, playing championship games against Borussia Dortmund . From 1943, the Hörder SC formed a war game community together with VfL Hörde and SV Schüren .

After the war ended , the Hörder became champions of the district class in 1947 and prevailed in the following round of promotion together with BV Brambauer against SV Sodingen , Teutonia Riemke and SV Ehrenfeld . Thus the HSC reached the state league , the highest amateur league in Westphalia at the time. There, in the 1947/48 season , the team was initially bottom of the group and only managed to stay in the league in the second deciding round of the relegation with a 1-0 victory over SC Münster 08 . A year later, he was relegated to the district class. The low point of the season was a 10:10 defeat at Sportfreunde Siegen .

Many years followed with mediocrity in the district class. In 1961 the Hörder were runner-up on their squadron behind the amateurs of VfL Bochum . In the following decades the HSC commuted between the district and district league. In the 1990/91 season and from 1994 to 1997, the Hörder SC was once again part of the state league. From 2010 to 2014, the club played in the district league before the team had to relegate to the Dortmund district league A.
