Sub-C is a size for accumulators . A type Sub-C cell is Ø 23 x 43 mm and therefore has a larger volume than the longer AA cell (Mignon), but slightly less than a C cell (Baby).

Sub-C cells are seldom placed individually in devices. The size is mostly used as NiCd and NiMH batteries in battery packs in the field of RC model making , but also often in electrical tools such as cordless screwdrivers or electrical household appliances, such as. B. Hand vacuum cleaners , rarely in flashlights . For self-assembly or replacement, they are often sold with welded soldering lugs.

There is also the 4/5 Sub-C design with a length of 34 mm.
