In Leipzig there was a Submissionsamt (submission = award of public contracts) from 1909 to at least 1916 , which was founded by the SME Association in the Kingdom of Saxony .

It was a service facility for craftsmen and manufacturing tradespeople who wanted to participate in public tenders . In office they were given legal advice and formed supply associations, e.g. B. for large deliveries for the Reichsbahn or the military. The office's lawyers were supported by employees of the Saxon Ministry of the Interior . Co-founder and head of the office was u. a. the savings bank reformer Johann Christian Eberle .

There were branches in Chemnitz and (planned) in Dresden . Similar institutions based on private initiative outside of Saxony are not known.
