The subtense Valley (English for Messlattental ) is a largely unvereistes and 2.5 km long valley in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is 3 km northwest of Tabular Mountain at the western end of the Quartermain Mountains .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1993 after the yardstick , just like other geographic objects in the area are named after terms from surveying .
