Sufganiyah
The Sufganiyah ( Hebrew סופגנייה or סופגניה; plural, Sufganiyot :סופגניות) is a round pastry with a jam filling that is eaten around the world on Jewish Hanukkah . The pastries are fried, filled with jam or vanilla cream and sprinkled with powdered sugar. On Hanukkah, people of the Jewish faith eat fried food in memory of the temple oil miracle.
