Markus Brodbeck (born June 10, 1976 ) is a German handball goalkeeper and coach .

Brodbeck had numerous appointments in the DHB junior teams. He played for the second division TSG Oßweil for a year . He then moved to the second division HSG Dutenhofen / Münchholzhausen , with whom he was in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in the 1997/98 season and promoted to the Bundesliga in 1998 . Then he moved to the second division EHV Aue . The next station Brodbeck was active in the regional division HBW Balingen-Weilstetten . In the 2002/03 season Brodbeck rose with the HBW as a champion in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the following two seasons he played with HBW in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2005/06 season Brodbeck moved to the regional division TV Bittenfeld and rose with this in 2006 to the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2008 Brodbeck switched to the national division TSV Owen as a player- coach. In the summer of 2011, Brodbeck moved to the then third division club TSG Söflingen. In addition to his activity as a player, Brodbeck is the goalkeeping coach and assistant coach of the first team of the current league club . He also works as a youth coach at TSV Heiningen.

In 2006 Brodbeck was awarded the sports merit plaque of the city of Waiblingen for special services to sport .

Brodbeck is a trained specialist in event / sports marketing .

Brodbeck is a father of two.
