Sugar is a piece by the American band System of a Down . The song was released as a single and EP from the group's debut album of the same name, System of a Down from 1998.

Sugar can also be found on the group's first official demo tape. The song is played as the closing song for most of their concerts.

Music video

The video, directed by Nathan Cox, opens with a scene from the Film Network with the words of a newscaster.

Then the band is shown on stage with an American flag in the background. The scene is interrupted by images showing violence, victims of the Holocaust , an explosion from the Upshot Knothole atomic bomb test and the film Metropolis .
