Suleka Mathew

Suleka Mathew or Sue Mathew (born May 11 in Kerala , India ) is a Canadian actress .

Life and accomplishments

Mathew was born in India but grew up in Vancouver since she was two after her family emigrated to Canada. Even during her school days, she was enthusiastic about the theater and acting and appeared in various school performances. Nevertheless, she initially decided against studying acting and studied for two years at the University of British Columbia before returning to her passion, acting. With the support of a few friends, she interrupted her studies, took private acting lessons and, after just a few months, earned her first film role in the television series MacGyver in 1989 . This was followed by various guest appearances and increasingly recurring roles in The West Wing , Dead Zone , in the Canadian drama series Da Vinci's Inquest and was seen as a co-star in the US television series Men in Trees from 2006 to 2008 . From 2009 to 2011 she played the role of Bobbie Jackson in the TNT series Hawthorne .
