Zühlsdorf is an old church village. It is said to have been founded in the 13th century by Zules von Wedel , who received the district with Kürtow as a fief from the Margrave of Brandenburg. In 1336 the place was completely destroyed in the course of armed conflict between the Teutonic Order and a Polish army. The village then came into the possession of the Güntersberg family (Kratznik), who built a castle in 1354 on the northern edge of the village on the Schlossberg . During the Thirty Years War the village was completely destroyed again in 1638.

Around 1800 the village was a domain that belonged to the Reetz Office. In 1798 there was a feud mayor, 26 in Zühlsdorf full farmers , one , half-peasant , ten Kossäten , 24 granny , a forge and a total of 69 fires (homes) for a total of 350 inhabitants. The responsible post office was in Reetz.

Agriculture and forestry were the main source of income for the village. There was a brick factory 1.5 kilometers east of the village. Before 1945 there was a forest workers school in Zühlsdorf.

The region came under Polish administration after the end of World War II .
