description

Sulivan's Bar is located in the city center at the intersection of King Street and Main Street . The two-story building dates from 1891 and is one of the few remaining historical buildings in the city. It is still largely in its original condition today. The masonry is made of sandstone , with the building openings being contrasted in color through the use of red sandstone. The asymmetrically structured, east-facing front runs along Main Street. There are two guest rooms on the ground floor with separate entrances. The windows have meanwhile been closed with a wall. A gable surface with a stepped gable protrudes slightly to the left. Above the windows, the year of construction 1881 and the monogram CP can be found on a sandstone plaque. Four lattice windows are evenly distributed on the upper floor. A round bay window with a conical roof protrudes from the right edge of the building . A wide stepped gable with a chimney at the gable end points to King Street. Three windows are unevenly distributed along the facade. An additional twin window with skylight is located under a smaller stepped gable at the right end of the building. The saddle roof of Sulivan's Bar is covered with gray slate shingles.
