from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sulpicius Pompeius (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

Through four military diplomas , z. T. are dated June 21, 159, it is documented that Pompey was 159 commander of the Ala I Thracum Victrix , which was stationed in the province of Pannonia superior at that time ; the leadership of this unit is likely to have been his third military command within the Tres militiae . It may have been listed on the other two diplomas of 159.
