Sultan Sahak ( Arabic سلطان سهاک, DMG Sulṭān Sahāk ), also Sultan Ishaq (سلطان اسحاق, DMG Sulṭān Isḥāq , * in the 14th century in Barzanjeh; † in the 15th century), was a wandering dervish and Kurdish religious leader who founded the secret and syncretistic religion of the Ahl-e Haqq , also known as Yârsân. Like Ishaq, the name Sahak is a variant of the biblical Isaac . He is viewed by the Ahl-e Haqq as the manifestation of the perfect divine essence. The Asian conqueror Timur met with Sultan Sahak and used him as an oracle.

Sultan Sahak was born in Barzanjeh which is in what is now the Iraqi province of as-Sulaimaniya . He was a direct descendant of the Shiite imam Mūsā al-Kāzim . His father, Sheikh Isi, was a religious leader. His mother was Khatun-e Razbar, who was considered a manifestation of the Virgin Mary . As with Jesus , the birth of Sultan Sahak is said to have been a virgin generation . According to his followers, he brought the last message of God to the world, namely the Bayabas-e Pirdiwari (Beyond the Bridges).

Sultan Sahak's teachings were recorded by his disciples and later published on Gorani in the work Kalam-e Saranjam . According to his followers, Sultan Sahak returned to the world in the guise of other mystics after his death. According to the Ahl-e Haqq, the Alevi saint Hajji Bektash is an incarnation of the Sultan.
