Suman Deodhar

Suman Deodhar (* 1930 , married Suman Athavale ) is a former Indian badminton player . She is the daughter of the Indian cricket legend Dinkar Balwant Deodhar . Tara Deodhar and Sunder Deodhar are her sisters.

Career

Suman Deodhar won an Indian championship title for the first time in 1946. She won the women's doubles with her sister Sunder Deodhar . In 1947 she won the double title and the mixed title with the Dane Tage Madsen again with international participation in the championships . In 1951 she was successful again in doubles and also for the first time in singles, followed by another victory in 1954 in doubles.
