Sumol Chanklum

Sumol Chanklum ( Thai : สุม ล จันทร์ กล่ำ ; * around 1940 ) is a former Thai badminton player . She was one of the most prominent players in the sport in Thailand in the 1960s.

Athletic career

In her home country she won the Thai Championships in doubles with Pankae Phongarn for the first time in 1961 . In 1964 she won the singles for the first time, a year later she won the mixed with Raphi Kanchanaraphi for the first time . In 1972 she won her last national title.

At the Asian Games she was second in singles in 1966 and third in doubles in 1970. In 1965, 1967 and 1973 she won a total of five medals at the Southeast Asian Games.
